Abstract

This study addressed the topic of "Entrepreneurial Culture and its Activation Mechanisms at the Faculty of Economics, Al-Khums, Elmergib University, from the Perspective of its Faculty Members." The study problem was formulated in the following main question: What is the current state of entrepreneurial culture and its activation mechanisms at the Faculty of Economics, Al-Khums, Elmergib University, from the perspective of its faculty members?  This study aimed to identify the role of the Faculty of Economics in Al-Khums in disseminating a culture of entrepreneurship from the perspective of its faculty members. The study employed both descriptive and analytical methodologies, targeting all 160 faculty members at the college. A random sample of 113 individuals was selected from the study population, and 113 questionnaires were distributed, with 103 returned. Cronbach's alpha was used to confirm the validity and reliability of the research instrument, along with the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency distributions, t-test, and correlation coefficient. The study concluded that the level of entrepreneurship culture at the college was low, as perceived by the faculty members. Furthermore, the results showed a low level of evaluation of the mechanisms for implementing entrepreneurship by the sample group. Finally, the study revealed a statistically significant relationship between the reality of entrepreneurship culture and its activation mechanisms at the college, with a correlation value of 0.605. A positive result indicates a direct relationship between the two variables. Among the most important recommendations of the study are: to work on incorporating modern curricula and courses for entrepreneurship into the economics curriculum of Al-Khums Faculty of Economics and all Libyan universities; and to encourage and motivate faculty members to participate in scientific conferences and publish research papers in this field.
