Knowledge Management Processes and Their Impact on Electronic Management Requirements: A Field Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees at the Administrative Headquarters of Libyana Mobile Phone Company in Benghazi City

This study aimed to identify knowledge management processes and their impact on the requirements of electronic management, based on the views of a sample of employees at the administrative headquarters of Libyana Mobile Phone Company in Benghazi. The descriptive-analytical method was employed, and a random sample of 132 individuals was selected from the study population. A questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument, and 80 questionnaires (60% of the study sample) were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The study reached several findings, the most important of which are: knowledge management processes and electronic management requirements were both present at a high level within Libyana Mobile Phone Company in Benghazi; there is a strong positive correlation between the level of application of knowledge management processes, by their dimensions, and electronic management requirements, by their dimensions; and there is a statistically significant effect of knowledge management processes on electronic management requirements. Among the dimensions of knowledge management processes, knowledge storage was found to have the greatest effect on electronic management requirements, followed by knowledge distribution, then knowledge generation. To maintain the high level of both knowledge management processes and electronic management requirements, the study recommends the continuous updating and development of policies, plans, and procedures in line with developments in these fields.
