Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning difficulties in elementary school students (6-12 years). A content analysis approach was used to study numerous previous researches from 2010-2024 on ADHD and learning difficulties. The research focused on understanding the impact of ADHD on children’s ability to focus and learn, leading to difficulties in comprehending information and learning, subsequently affecting their academic performance. The research also focused on the effect of ADHD on the social behavior of children, which influences their relationships with peers. The research highlighted the importance of raising awareness among teachers and parents about ADHD, providing appropriate support for children with ADHD to improve their academic performance and reduce learning difficulties. The research suggests developing specialized educational programs tailored to the needs of children with ADHD to help them learn and adapt to the school environment. Early detection of ADHD is also recommended to provide timely interventions and minimize its impact on children. Teachers should be trained on how to interact with children with ADHD and implement appropriate educational strategies. Finally, there should be close collaboration between teachers and parents to provide adequate support for children with ADHD.
