Abstract

This study aims to investigate how secondary school teachers in Qarabulli can improve their teaching skills and how their environment influences the development of these skills, ultimately aiding them in more effectively addressing problems. To achieve this, a quantitative approach employed in secondary schools within Qarabulli city, specifically in EFL classrooms. The study included two male teachers and twenty-five female teachers. Data collected using a closed- ended questionnaire, which analyzed and presented in easily interpretable tables and graphs using percentages. Several assumptions were made, including that teachers take into account classroom size, available time, student interest, and their own teaching experience when choosing a teaching method. The findings indicated that the majority of participants utilized the Grammar Translation Method, Direct Method, and Audio-Lingual Method for teaching English.
