Abstract

This study aimed to determine the extent of use of digital educational technologies at the Faculty of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies and to identify the obstacles to their use in the educational process among faculty members at Al-Asmariya Islamic University in Zliten. The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical method and used a questionnaire The study was designed to collect data, and the study population consisted of (92) faculty members. A sample of (40) individuals was selected using simple random sampling, and the data were analyzed using SPSS software. The results can be summarized as follows: The absence of many important specialized programs. Teaching using digital technologies, and the use of some available digital technologies by faculty members is done through personal effort and without training courses to help them and develop their abilities, and there is a lack of the necessary infrastructure for using digital technologies, and there is a weakness in training on how to employ digital technologies in the educational process. It reached several recommendations, including training faculty members on the use of digital technologies in education by providing the college with the necessary educational equipment and software, establishing specialized training courses for faculty members on employing and using digital technologies in the educational process, and making optimal use of these technologies Digital technology in the university and pre-university education stages in delivering theoretical and practical courses, providing the college's infrastructure of devices specializing in digital technologies to display daily lectures and other things, and the need to pay attention to conducting research and studies related to digital technologies so that faculty members can benefit from using them in the educational process.
